I’ve been wearing them whilst travelling in Greece, where my trip has been mostly about running, hiking and sightseeing, but enjoying the nightlife too. I like the classic and classy colour schemes and I think the Polo’s go well with my Helly Chinos (see these Chinos here). They’ve a classic, smart cut yet still there’s plenty of room across the shoulders and under the arms to allow me to move about when I’m undertaking a more strenuous activity, such as scrambling (lots of that to be done here in Greece, there are rocks everywhere).

I appreciate especially that they look fine after being handwashed in the hotel sink, or by machine. The image above, and below, show how they look after a machine wash and no iron.

As you can see, not too creased at all and definitely presentable enough for a day or evening out. They dry quickly too. It’s about 15 to 18 degrees most nights here and once washed in the evening they’re set to go next morning.

During the day it has got to 28 degrees and yet the material, whilst feeling substantial and hard wearing to the touch, has done a decent job of either keeping me cool, or not making me hot (whatever way you want to look at it). Even when I’ve worn the Kos Polo on a hike up a 1900 metre peak, which turned out to be a strenuous day out with plenty of sweating, I found it to be comfortable (breathable and non chaffing, which are the most important things for a hiking top, although looking smart on the mountain top doesn’t hurt either).

I consider these Kos Polo’s casual enough for general sightseeing, tough enough to handle long days on the mountain and smart enough for the majority of city restaurants, and after wearing them for the past month on the road and washing in the sink and varying quality washing machines they’re still the same size (haven’t shrunk at all) and colour, and they retain their great look.
