We Say – I’ve worn these Henna sandals on a multitude of surfaces in Sri Lanka and Morocco over the past two months and they haven’t let me down once! There also hasn’t been any visible wear and tear with the stitching, no scuffing and the soles have stayed hole free despite the nails and other sharp objects that I’ve probably trodden on when I walked in the medinas of Marrakech and Fes.

They also look good when you’re headed to dinner in a nice restaurant!

I’ve worn these sandals every single day since I first put them on in the beginning of my trip in Sri Lanka, which lasted one month, to this moment in Morocco, where I’m be spending a total of six weeks. They’re really comfortable, so easy to put on and take off, and they deal very well with water so if I do step into a puddle by accident it dries off very quick.

I like the colour too. I’m not one for pink footwear but this shade of pink is so subtle it goes with all of my outfits and doesn’t attract that kind of ‘look, she’s got pink shoes on’ kind of attention.

nik passikuda birth 224As I’ve mentioned above, after two months of wearing these sandals there isn’t a hole or tear anywhere (I haven’t had any blisters or other problems either) and they’re still as sturdy and strong as the day I first put them on.

The only thing that’s changed is that the leather on the upper and sole has by now completely formed to my feet so they’re a delight to wear. The leather has gotten softer too which adds a great feeling to my feet alongside the comfort.

Overall, these are a great pair of sandals for travel. They pack down small into my rucksack and regain their shape quickly after I unpack them. They’re versatile enough to be suitable for most different surfaces and situations that you’re likely to stroll into, they’re very hard wearing and they look good for all occasions, no matter how fancy. Going by my experience with these Henna sandals, and the shoes that David has tested out, Merrell are a brand to trust.
