We Say – I’ve been wearing this top whilst in Canada the past 2 months. It was an average of around minus 5 there with lows of minus 25 and I went running 3 or 4 times a week to keep up my marathon training. I wore it under a mid layer and running jacket, and over a t-shirt. It was ok when used in such conditions, I didn’t have to retreat indoors because my body was cold, despite the temperature. In fact, the only thing that drove me indoors after an hour or so was my freezing fingers.

It’s made from very soft material and feels extremely comfortable. I just wore it again this afternoon in England, it’s spring now and a mild 12 degrees or so. I only have to wear this on it’s own in such conditions, and I’d say this was as warm as it can be for me to wear this top comfortably. Any hotter than this and it’s be too warm a shirt to use.

I’ve never had to wear vasaline with it, it doesn’t rub at all. And of course the bright colour means I feel safer when running on country roads. Drivers are unlikely to miss me dressed in this!

It wicks away sweat excellently. The photo above was taken after I’d done 10 miles cross country at 8 minute mile pace, which is relatively fast for me. As you can see, there’s a sweat patch on the stomach but not  much elsewhere, it’s dealt with the moisture very well.

So, to sum up, it’s a very comfy top and warm too. If you’re looking for something to wear on evening runs when it’s a bit chilly and dark and you want to make sure you’re seen by drivers, or to wear as a layer when it’s very cold, then think about getting a top from the Adidas Climawarm range.
