Classic Bib Shorts – £39

Made in Britain

They Say - ‘Constructed from super soft Lycra these six panel SVR bib shorts offer supreme performance in a very stylish package. With flat locked contrast stitching, mesh back and Dupont CoolMAX pad, they are designed with comfort in mind. With contrasting stitching on the straps and the Shutt Colour band on the leg these look every inch the quality bib shorts they are. The design is cut slightly higher on the thigh than more contemporary designs hence customers referring to them as the ‘Sean Yates Shorts.’ A firm favorite with our customers, men and women, they regularly give us 10/10 for fit and value, telling us that they are by far the best bib shorts for under £50.’

We Say – ‘First impressions were good. The Lycra felt and looked very luxurious (they say they source the best). It has plenty of mesh venting at the back and the leg hem grippers were adequate although I found the hem slightly over tight.

It has a discreet and attractive multi-coloured logo for those of us who don’t like branding splattered everywhere.

There was a little raised fabric between the padding and the back cross-stitching. Perhaps having the padding slightly higher up the bum would create a better fit, but I must say although the padding was not top of the range it was quite thick and adequate for most rides making them great value.

It is slightly short in the leg that giving them a retro feel that I liked a lot and the bib worked especially well on those warmer days which is in strange contrast to the high waist which is more suited to cooler days. Although I quite liked the snug higher waist, it could be a little difficult when nature calls.’

In Summary – ‘I liked the shorter leg length and the look and feel of the quality lycra. The higher than normal waist is good for those slightly chillier days and the padding was ample making it a very good value short.’
