They Say – ‘A jersey for the race oriented road cyclist. Material mix for high performance and comfort. Special visibility through reflex-prints. COOLING AND VENTING Body temperature management; The body gives its best performance at a temperature of around 37° C. Microfiber is essential for balanced temperature management, as it keeps the temperature constant. Products made of microfiber are more breathable than the best natural fibres and have excellent thermoregulation qualities, which suit their final use perfectly. Microfiber’s high level of stretchability and rapid drying qualities guarantee garments with a perfect cut and excellent wearability. Microfiber is also very resilient, durable and easy to care for.
Highly functional material mix. 3-compartment back pocket, slightly tapered on side for easy access. Zip pocket on back. Long back. 3/4-length concealed front zip. Ergonomically shaped collar. Partial mesh inserts for better ventilation. Partially elastic gripper on hem. Reflective print on sleeves. Reflective print on sides. Reflective logo on front and back.’
We Say – ‘Has a very technical feel and look, lots of panels with four different weaves. Good length, front and back with innovative mesh vent on the belly. Venting also on the underarm, sides and backbone. The front has a nice long zip to cool down on those really hot days in the saddle and the material feels really nice and thin with lots of little reflectors. It has good elastic on the arms with the hem having very good grippers on the lower back inseam. The cut is very comfortable with raglan sleeves that gives a nice fit around the shoulders. For valuables there is a decent size zipper on the rear pocket. First impressions were this is a serious top for competitive cycling.
First impression was also the colour, a bright 80’s style green that I was not mad on to begin with but grew to like through testing.
On the first test ride it performed well in expelling excess heat and perspiration apart from the lower back but that was where I carried my spare rubber inner tube. So I don’t think it’s a problem area. I found it very comfy with the long front zipper cooling me down quickly when I got too hot. I also really like the lower front mesh panel as it is a perspiration zone and it vented well.’
In Summary – ‘I think for UK riding it is more of a summer top and would probably need a gilet or jacket if riding in spring, autumn or cloudy summer days. I especially liked the lower front mesh panel when teamed with the same model shorts, which had a panel in the same place that provided great venting.’
